Welcome to this new forum category on jobs and careers in the computer industry. Maybe people could post useful information here, not only about available jobs but about their own computer-related job. Like daonlyfreez and his new job with ebay.

Ok, first I have to say that the job I got isn't that much computer related (yet), it's customer support 8( , but I hope this will change (good chance, as I have loads of computer experience, and they explicidly told me so). But I agree that this category could be very useful to beginners as well as people already working in the industry. After the big "bubble blowup" the golden days of internet-related jobs are over and many are struggling to keep their (well paid) jobs.

All I can say when you go and do a course that garentee's you'll get a job, don't listen to 'em, I went and did two courses that garenteed the same thing and I got screwed. :/

Customer support (ack!). But I suppose it's a beginning. I'm still struggling to get an entry level job (college peoples are coming home, jobs are becoming scarce)
