Hi guys and gals! :-D
Hope you're all OK. I'm new around here so I'll bear the "anonymous coward" thing for a while. So, here is my problema: I'm trying to build a simple (?) program to sense if someone is calling me while I'm logged onto internet through PSTN. I imagine I'll have to use the Call Waiting Supplementary Service and I suppose that I can only access it by directly hearing to my modem while I'm on line. I hope that there is some easy way to do this, eg somehow "listening" to modem return codes, rather than really listening modem and trying to detect the bip biiip of call waiting. THANKS in advance! |

well, see, the problem with this is, if you've got call waiting or something similar, the call waiting tone is going to interrupt your internet communications.
Here's a coupon for a punch to the face.

We use PSTN with the police. But I have no idea how the communication guys do it.
Meh!
