heres my site:
www.walkoffvideos.com

Im just learning html and building a site and pretty much learning as i go along. This looks fine in my browser but my dads (has windows 98) it cuts off the background.

I used a table ontop of the background. I dont know if thats how ur supposed to do it or what? But can anyone give me any help or point me in the direction to learn whats wrong.

Thanks

PS: any review of the site would be great too.

Nice, but here your background repeats (I'm using Firefox 1.0.7, 1280x1024 res).

Also 'Contact' goes way off the image to the right.

it looks like the way you have your layout right now it's only going to look right in a small range of browser window sizes. in mine it's cut off, but if i maximize it, i see the cigar guy again at the bottom.

here's a suggestion on how to fix that:

- crop your image to just the part that isn't the outer grey part
- change your table to be the width of that image (in pixels)
- set that image as the background of the table
- center the table in the page

that'll look reasonable on any browser window size.

also, you currently have the page titled 'Untitled Document' which in my opinion looks worse than leaving the title off altogehter so it displays the url.

Are you sure?! My site is at:

http://ryanfreeland.org

My menubar had that exact gradient until I decided I didn't want to use it anymore.

I have also designed another web template that had just about the exact same borders as yours.
