seems that everyone hates it when old threads are kicked up, what about auto-locking old threds if no reply has occurred or last reply is older than a several months or something

But there are some old threads that get kicked up for a reason....sometimes when someone new reads the old topics and would like to comment on it or when someone has something new he/she has to say

how old is too old though? and wouldn't you rather have an old thread kick up rather than have another thread start that will eventually meet the same fate. i say better to move them to a dead thread section where they will be out of the way but but where they can be kicked back up if need be.
Computers are stupid. they are only as smart as their programmer tells them to be. So take it from a programmer COMPUTERS ARE STUPID.

I say moderators just need to lock the thread more if it happens. For that and for repeat threads. I'm getting tired of seeing all the "Find me techno" threads. Maybe I should go take care of that.

What I have seen on a different forum, is a warning at the top and bottom of the page. Stating that the thread is old, and shouldn't be bumped unless there's a good reason to do so. I think that really worked well.
Maybe something for the next version of this forum?
