Gellelio said that there is no end to the universe. It is now proven that the universe in expanding. How would it expand if there was no edge?

If there is no edge? How does it look like?
In Islam we beleive there is an end of the universe which is the first "sama'" or sky. THere are seven and each one of them will be removed on judgement's day.

What do you think?

I think it is a mistake to believe that the sky and the universe is what religions believe to be heaven.

As to the expanding universe and limits. Well, it seemed that the expanding universe is moving into the immeasurable empty space (void).

As to your question, there is an edge to the universe, but the universe's edge keep moving outward in those empty space. Since there are no way we can observe and calculate the space (void) beyond the edge of the universe that we can see, we don't know if there is an ending to space.

this is a valid quest, but in this century it is almost impossible for anyone to tell that what is beyond the univ. It is writen that the size of univ. is 10E56 and it is of oval in shape but that too is absurd and is based on some intelegent guesses. Hope you understand what I want to say.
thanx.

Maybe the end of universe exists but we can not reach them. Finally the velocity of light can not be overcome. I mean there is a limit for speed. Why could't exist a limit for the space of universe?

The thing about this topic is that it will escape the greatest minds of answer till the end of time.
With space and time you have to think the unconventional. From newton watching an apple fall to ferymen smashing heavy particles together, there are always more questions than answers. Just like looking in the way(planks constant) there is great difficulty in looking out the way as we are bound by certain rules(unlike a computer programme) cannot be broken, maybe twisted a little but not broken

This being probobly one of the most debated topic in "ameture" physics, is true to a certain extent. Lights final speed cannot be increased(but can be decreased). Is this our final chance of looking what is past the edge....probobly not.

there are many special things come out of the quantum world about physics including tachyons and super paired perticles(for those of you who want to know more i suggest you read more as it is fairly interesting). None of which is any use to us now as is all still theory.

For now though i guess that what is past the edge.."void" is more void. Nothing. Which in its self is something, a large amount of something. And what makes this something so special is that it is nothing.

Well, that made a lot of sense.

I think you have twisted my brain into a tight knot, gordon.
