It seemed that they have found proof that one galaxy and swallow up another one, when they collide. Usually the larger galaxy would just absorb the smaller ones.

Since we lived in the outer fringe of the Milky Way, we maybe the 1st one to be hit, if another galaxy does collide with ours.

Wouldn't that be something to see, up close? But this will probably won't happen for a very long time. Drat!

Dreams are stories, but my life is just one bad dream. :P

Actually, if I remember correctly our Milky Way is currently in process of crushing a smaller
galaxy. I need to do a little search on that...

Oh, yes, Milky Way is a cosmic bully:

And in three billion years Milky Way will collide with Andromeda galaxy. That will make a big mess.

Too bad we won't see it. Otherwise I would sit and watch, either having pop-corn or roasted marshmellows.

Is the Milky Way bigger or Andromeda?
