Yes yes, I still have 98se on my computers. It works, and nothing I have...well save for 3dStudio, can work just fine and with no BSOD of them so for now, reguardless if M$ has sunsetted them, I'm keeping them. My question is this. Trojans and hijacks try to enter your computer via the internet, downloading to the Temp folder or system folder and then either run or spread out from there. If I fileshared my C drive and placed a password on the access to it, whouldn't that prevent someone from trying to trojan or install anything without the password? I'm pretty sure I'm overlooking the fact that cookies and temp internet files are auot stored on my computer and running programs on that computer like Starcraft, just give direct access over the game server to my computer, but wouldn't it only affect/infect the folders via starcraft? But then, if I blocked the c drive, if That even can be done, may not even be able to get on line. Thoughts?
Some people get the Elevator while others get the shaft.
