ughh...it happened again....my PC hangs mid-way after about 30-60 mins of use....it hangs randomly.....when i restart it, it hangs as well...then my display in my monitor goes out and it still hangs. It also hangs during loading windowsXP AND during the loading of the safe mode. Sometimes (twice) i get the BSOD which sends chills down my spine...Any possible causes why this is happening??? It ran fine last week!!

lots of possible causes, in fact. here are a few things you can look at:

- overheating. if it was working fine before and you haven't changed the environment it's in, it might have too much dust buildup to be able to move air around and stay cool. open it up and get as much dust out as you can (good to do even if this isn't the problem)

- bad components. something in your computer doesn't work anymore. try unplugging stuff you don't need, which to be extreme means everything but the video card, main hard drive, cpu, and ram. if you don't see the problem that way, add things back one at a time until you do see it, then replace the component you just added back. ram is actually a common thing to cause this sort of problem, so you can buy new ram from a place that will let you return it if that doesn't fix your problem and try that as well.

hopefully some of that will help, but it'll at least keep you busy for a while

Its my Mainboard...its spoilt...now i gotta get a new one...
