We have successfully installed an application developed in VB on a laptop (OS-> Win XP).
But when we try to run the software, it says "Automation Error 2147024770. The Specified modult cannot be found".

What could be the probable cause of this error.?

sounds like one of your components didn't get registered, which means it wasn't installed successfully after all... i seem to remember this happening somewhere around 10% of the times an install is attempted, and it acts like it was successful until you try to run the thing...

uninstalling and reinstalling might get it right, or you can try manually registering all components using regsvr.
