I think it's a very good idea... I'll try and write one myself when I have time. Then we would have some example to show hosting applicants.

Thanks, that would be great! Let us know so we can make the right category for it. |

I think putting web design tutorials and layout tutorials in the HTML section would be good enough... although it may be an option to make a category of their own.

The trouble is that HTML and CSS are already a bit dicey being under "Programming" as they're not programming languages, of course. It would also be good to have tutorials on graphics within the web design context. Most people want to make their main logo or header at least and some help there is always useful. For these reasons, I'm thinking it's best to go for a "Web Development" category as distinct from "Programming". Then maybe throw the HTML and CSS into that. I guess, for now, the HTML category will do though.

Yes, the reasons are valid. However, HTML and CSS in themselves can't really be called "programming" (see the main page of my HTML tutorial about the difference between markup and programming languages). So it would be a good idea to throw all the HTML and CSS tutorials under the new Web Development category. Actually you could use subcategories too: Web Development > Markup Web Development > Graphics etc. UltraFreak what would u call a layout tutorial..u mean like tell people how u think a good layout should b done??
Basically, a brief guide to the most popular layouts that can be used.

Very good! I'll write the layout tutorial as soon as I have time (I've got exams at the moment).

layouts would be a great addition to the tutorials in my opinion.
their professional ones, some for small websites, simple ones, everything you can imagine! i'll contribute once i get the basics of html down, i still rely almost entirely on dreamweaver/frontpage

Hi guys. I would be happy to create a 'layout' tutorial, or contribute to one!
I'll see what I can do, so we can fill that new category up with decent stuff. Thanks for the inspiration, Patriot, Dino, UltraFreak and Phoenix.

Everyone's layout would be nice, but not everyone made their own layout. I'm working on a new layout on my site, it should be up by the 30th.
