I recently was asked by a reader in France if I could translate my website. It's a HUGE site so the idea was daunting but I looked into it and lo! I found something cool.
I've always known about BabelFish from Alta Vista. It's a cool web interface that allows you to translate blocks of text into other languages (real accurately too!). I've used it before for other things. And wouldn't ya know it? They have something that you can put into your site that will translate the whole page for the reader, into one of 9 languages (French included!). I think the thing's too darned nifty and I wanted to share it with you guys. Have fun! AltaVista Translates your Site

Google is able to translate your sites as well
Stick and Stones may break my bones but Caricatures will cause a riot!

From what I've tried to do Babelfish isn't always that accurate. It translates word for word, so that can cause problems.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.
