Hi,

I am a complete newbie concerning 3d images, but I wan't to create some myself.
I have posted an image as an example the link is:
Image

How do I create an image as the example, and which program shall I use?
I would prefere open source, but other options are welcome.

I am not planning to do some major 3d imaging, so I would prefere a program that is easy to learn.

Hope someone can help me?

Thanx,

Sanderos

I cant tell which 3d programm was used to create that image since there are a lot. Most of them are capable of creating such images but they are not easy to use at all.

The simplified process is: First creating the scenery with geometry objects, lights, textures.. then setting up the properties and finally rendering the image.

There is blender which is open source and for free
http://blender.org/cms/Home.2.0.html
and of course capable of it.

Some names: (Maya, Lightwave. Cinema4D, Houdini, XSI, 3DStudio Max, Zbrush) <- not for free
