hmmm....web hosts? i don't want to sound like i'm ass kissing here but of all the free web hosts i've been throuh in the last 2 years....free2code was the best....and the best thing is they don't flood your email about you know.....stuff!

I really like port5.com

it's a uk host.

allows php which is why i like it so much... no ads and all that stuff...

but also you can sign up with another thing through the same company for free mysql hosting.

what a great combination...

but i haven't been hosted by free2code yet... well i haven't tried because i don't have a site yet :P

hmmm...tutorials are usually the topics for some sites who applied here but you have to have lots of content...good layouts are not good enough if your site does not have the content to have visitors come back all the time....

had the australian rules footy grand final today... kind of got me hyped up. love the atmostphere of major sporting events... might make a sporting site... although Australian sports don't incite much interest...

I'm thinking if i add some american sports (which i like to watch if they are on), then i can learn more about them as i go... I know most of the rules of ice hockey... american football and all that stuff... just i like to know the teams and things better.

kinda gone off topic from the original post... but i'm getting excited now :P

i've never heard about it before... if you're really looking for good hosting... there are many sites that just have links to lots of different free hosts... with what they offer... if they require ads... etc...

then you cna just try em out...

a quick search of google "free hosts"

Just got an email saying that portland are not going to be continuing to host php for free so I guess that's out... When exams are over and I'm back from Schoolies I might work together a site... and apply for hosting here.

I want to use a PHP based gallery ( Gallery) thingie, and I spent the last 8 hours searching for a free hosting that includes PHP and NO ads. :[

obviously I was unsuccesful.

maybe a different idea for galleries implementaition?

coolfreepages pops up an banner ad underneath so its not entirely ad-free!
