Hi,

I was looking at upgrading my graphics card, but unfortunatly I found out my low end dell dimension p4 2400 comp only has pci slots.

So after researching I found out these were the 2 best cards I could get, & I already have the 128 mg card.

Is it worth while me dropping any $ on the 256mg version, and will I see any noticble improvement?

These cards are also the only ones I think with the directx9 capibilty even though the games I try & play I still have to use directx7 to render or they would be unplayable.

I have upgraded the mem to the capicity for this machine (2g) to see if that enabled me to use directx9 but it didnt.

Thanks

directx9 is backwards compatible with directx7.

Here's a coupon for a punch to the face.

In order to use Direct X 9, you would need a Direct X 9 compatible video card. All of the new cards are DX9 compliant. Upgrading your graphics card will make a noticable difference in gaming. I would recommend that you go for it =).
