Need help about USB Flash Drive !

I have a 128MB USB flash disk (can play mp3). Last night, I try to formatting it but when it 50% complete, it suddenly stop and say cannot continue. After unplug and replug, some garbage directories and files appear (naming by strange symbol), it occupy about 30MB. Try to delete, format that flash drive but unsuccessful, the garbage directories and files is "immortal". Is there any program can fix this problem ?

judging by the other similar threads in this forum, you're pretty much screwed because you tried to format the device -- the solution is to buy a new one.
directories and files is "immortal"
does it actually say this? because that would be way cool if there were an error message that said something like "unable to delete file because it is immortal"
