I am having a Toshiba 2GB Transmemory USB Flash Disk. Currently Windows XP detects it as a removable storage and drive is visible in My Computer. But when I am cling the Drive it ask to insert disk into the drive. In Disk Management it shows as 'no medium found'. The properties shows that Unknown File System, Capcity 0 bytes and used 0 bytes. Is anybody knows how to recover from this situation...

Actually I am having that happen too...
I log in as a (on my XP Pro SP2) my restricted user account it would work perfectly. Login to admin account and it doesn't work and has the same "unknown file system" it see's the drive installed with the drivers, even says they're working no errors except when it comes to adding/editing/removing files to the drive it doesn't even come up in disk management. It also does not show the volume capacity etc. Sometimes works for a few seconds then it goes. You see for about 30secs if you're really fast to start exploring the drive then boom it just stops. *UPDATE* It has now started faulting the same way in my resicted user account" I have 3 usb drive devices - Mobile phone with memeory stick access - Lexar jumpdrive - Nexstar external hdd 3.5" So it can't be a 'dead usb stick/jumpdrive/phone memory/exteneral hdd' |
